Visit The City of Lviv

 

Transit Programme (without overnight stay!)

- Arrival to Lviv. Pick-up at the airport or railway station. Right from the airport / railway station get on a bus tour around the city, visiting popular Lviv attractions such as St.George cathedral from the 18-th century, Lviv University complexes, Lviv pantheon of the Lychakiv cemetery, and enjoying a beautiful panoramic view from the High Castle observation platform. On the way – breakfast stop at a typical Lviv confectionary "Veronica". Continuation of the city tour – walking tour around the Historic and Architectural Preserve (under the protection of UNESCO). View the historic buildings of the 16-17 century including the residence of the Polish king Jan III Sobieski, who won the battle of Vienna , beautiful churches of different confessions – Rome-Catholic, Greek-Catholic, Orthodox, Armenian; walk along Svoboda Avenue to the magnificent Opera House, stop at the Pharmacy museum located in the old pharmacy building operational since 1735 as well as Royal Parlors of the History Museum ….).
- Lunch at restaurant “Grand” (optional)
- After lunch break, you are free to visit one of Lviv museums or w alk around a street market with a wide choice of folk crafts (embroidery, wood carving, pottery, paintings etc)
- Dinner at a national restaurant (Ukrainian dumplings, borsch, potato pancakes, etc), live Ukrainian national music. Departure.

 

Two-day Programme in Lviv (1 overnight stay)

DAY 1 - Arrival to Lviv. Pick-up at the railway station/airport. DAY 2 - Breakfast at the hotel . Loading to the buses.
- Bus tour to Zhovkva, a unique town - preserve, and to a picturesque functioning Krekhiv monastery of St Basil's Greek-Catholic Order. A short walk to the Holy spring not far from the monastery.
- Return to Lviv by lunch time. Lunch on your own.
- After lunch break, you can visit one of Lviv museums or walk around a street market with a wide choice of folk crafts (embroidery, wood carving, pottery, paintings etc)
- Farewell dinner at a national restaurant (Ukrainian dumplings, borsch, potato pancakes, etc), live Ukrainian national music. Departure.

 

Three - day Programme in Lviv (2 overnights )

DAY 3 - 9:00 -10:00 Breakfast at the hotel.

Option 1: For Music and Opera Lovers (Optional) :
Visit to the memorial museum of the prominent Ukrainian opera singer, Enrico Caruso's partner – Solomia Krushelnytska. V isit to the music school named after S. Krushelnytska. Lunch on your own. Free time.
Meeting with the musicians and opera singers at the Musical society named after R.Wagner (late afternoon, optional).

Option 2: For other groups (Optional) :
Early departure for the Carpathian mountains ( Skole ): walk to the waterfalls, shopping for Hutsul souvenirs, visit to the mineral water spa - Truskavets. Lunch in Truskavets (on your own)
19:00 Dinner at a national restaurant (Ukrainian dumplings, borsch, potato pancakes, etc), live Ukrainian national music. Departure.

The cost includes accommodation at the hotel of your choice, meals HB, including welcoming or farewell dinners with a glass of wine, services of an English (German, Italian, Spanish, French) speaking guide, entrance fees to the museums included in the programme, transportation according to the programme, VAT. Group leader - gratis. (Hotels “Grand” and “ Dniester ” are located in the city center, Hotel “Suputnyk” is 15 min drive from the center).
